GECU, previously known as Government Employees Credit Union, is headquartered in El Paso, Texas. It falls under The National Credit Union Administration. In the year 2012, GEUCO had assets amounting to $ 1.96 billion. In that same year, it had 311,000 members and 700 employees on average. GECU has 18 branches and is open to people who reside or work in Hudspeth, Dona Ana and El Paso counties.
GECU provides customers with an ABA routing number that they use for most transactions. One instance where the ABA routing number must be used is when a customer is transferring funds from another bank to their account. International transfers require that you indicate the SWIFT code.
The GECU routing number can be found on the business/personal checks issued by the bank. You can find the routing number on the bottom left hand corner of your check. It is the first set of 9 digits just before the account number. Below is a sample of the check.
